Laid in Sussex!

In Britain, the need to inform the consumer about everything is so high up on priorities, that very often you end up with details you aren't sure you really wanted in the first place...;) Notice anything funny? Maybe, it's not what's written, but it's me... Look at where my eyes went, and I was chuckling so hard that I couldn't bring myself to have these eggs for breakfast... I mean I knew them too well to want to eat them...Know what I mean??? Where the Hen/s chose to lay the choicest 6 large eggs packed into my cardboard carton was an important bit of information that I, the consumer had to be made aware of... Isn't that what this means? Or that the Hens got laid in Sussex? Both the options are 'chuckle raisers'... What a cheery thought!!! Three cheers for Local Sussex Egg Farmers' Proactive Procreation Club!!!

  1. Well, there must be more to eggs/hens (or both) being laid in Sussex than meets the palate!!

  2. On the other hand there are protest groups in this country calling for more 'information' on what they eat! Apparantly a large bulk of the stuff you see in supermarkets has genetically modified ingredients, but the producer lobbies have successfully managed to get a bill passed which doesn't compel them to state that on the packaging! Wierd country

  3. That being so, wonder if the hens in the country too have a constitutional right to seek 'privacy' protection...Will the Hens now stand up for their rights please?? PETA listening?

  4. Even worse... the first look and smart me thought it was a packet of condom. And then the 'Laid in Sussex' part too...just before my mind decided to wander to Sussex, I realised those were eggs (the omlette/scramble types).

  5. Nicely observed, and a good example of over-cautious Britain. And there was me thinking that "Laid in Sussex" was a slogan you only found on those souvenir hats sold on Brighton Pier.

  6. Hi Deepthy, You already have an Alexa Rank of 13,403,855 and 3 sites linking to your blog.If you get more links to your blog from related good sites you will also get a decent pagerank. While pagerank is on a scale of 1 to 10 (higher the better) Alexa Rank should be lower (#1 is held by Google of course!).
